Hello!

Hi, my name is Jess. I’m a born and bred Canberran (although I did escape to Sydney in my 20s for a few years). My husband Mick and I have 3 gorgeous boys.

I studied accounting at university and spent the first 17 years of my working life as a Chartered Accountant. At some point I felt the pull to help people on a personal level, to have a small part in their day to day lives. From this, Power Flow Pilates was born. By this point I had been practicing Pilates for 20 years and had my instructor qualifications so my husband Mick and I opened a reformer studio in Mawson which was followed by another one a couple of years later in McKellar.

This has been life changing for me. The connection with the community and feeling like I can help others, even in a small way, has been everything and has ignited my purpose and passion in life.

Mindfulness and meditation have always been a part of my life in some way. Thanks to my Dad, I was exposed to parts of this from a young child. However, it wasn’t until my adult years that I began to meditate regularly. I quickly realised the impact that it had on my life. I started to stress much less and live more in the present moment, (which has been so powerful with the kids), be less judgmental of myself and others and focus on the most important things in life. I am always interested in learning and growing and so I began to dive deeper into the yogic aspects of meditation, breathwork and mindfulness and I haven’t turned back. These practices and the people I have met, have changed my life.

Growth is a lifelong process, but I have started to really lean into and celebrate who I really am, and to slowly remove the masks that have been built up over my life. I’ve learnt to slow down, to appreciate the important things in life and to be grateful every day. The learning and growing is continuous, and I definitely know that there are no quick fixes. I am so excited to share these beautiful and life changing practices with you, and I truly hope that they can impact your life too.

Please reach out if you have any questions, I would love to hear from you.
